Chronic-Phase Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia

Added text about a prospective randomized study in which some patients with a matched related donor received early allogeneic stem cell transplantation versus interferon-based therapy and imatinib at relapse; some patients also underwent a matched unrelated donor transplant in remission and showed that survival favored the nonmatched donor arm with mostly early benefit (cited Hehlmann et al. as reference 35 and level of evidence 2A).
